HR676 Modification & Support Communique

>To: U.S. Senators.

Please introduce and support a Senate bill just like HR 676, with all of the proposed modifications below.

>To: U.S. Representatives.

Please become a supporter of HR 676, and all of the modifications proposed below.

>To: All U.S. Representatives who support HR 676, The United States National Health Insurance Act, especially the act's introducers: Reps. John Conyers, Dennis Kucinich, Jim McDermott and Donna Christensen.

A brief description of HR 676 on <http://www.house.gov/conyers/news_hr676_2.htm> states, "HR 676 ... will provide the highest quality and most cost effective health care services ... to all United States Residents".

But the only way, long term, to ensure that that goal is realized is to require ALL government employees, appointees, and elected officials, and their spouses, dependents, and all members of their households, to receive ALL their health care directly through the HR 676 program ONLY. NO exceptions. For example, they can not receive health care outside of the HR 676 program paid for by themselves or by third parties, and there are NO exceptions regarding procedures and care not covered by HR 676 including, but not limited to, "medically unnecessary" procedures and care; so they will get NO care for any and all procedures and care not covered for all U.S. Residents by HR 676. Further, ALL HR 676 health care case priorities MUST be decided based SOLELY on medical conditions, not social, economic, or political rank of the patient, even if, for example, it's the President of the United States. With these modifications, all these people will have a vested interest in improving the HR 676 health care system, not avoiding it.

Otherwise, a two tier health care system will develop, with the powerful, and their rich friends and / or supporters, getting the best health care, and the rest of Americans getting mediocre to poor health care.

Please modify HR 676 to include all these innocuous provisions.
