Step 1 Given: I=int_(0)^(1)(4+3x^(2))dx for evaluating given integral, first we separate terms then integrate it Step 2 so, int_(0)^(1)(4+3x^(2))dx=4int_(0)^(1)dx+3int_(0)^(1)x^(2)dx (because int x^(n)dx=(x^(n+1))/(n+1)+c) =4[x]_(0)^(1)+3[(x^(3))/(3)]_(0)^(1) =4(1-0)+(1^(3)-0^(3)) =4(1)+1 =4+1 =5 hence, value of given integral is equal to 5.
